Pain at tick bite site from 45 years ago

Happy Friday!!
For the last week or so I’ve been experiencing an ice pick type pain sporadically at the same location where my Mom pulled a tick off of me at least 45 years ago. Hubby took a pic, there is a very tiny red mark exactly where I was bit.
I had mono at15….deer tick bite at 27. II believe I got Lyme at that time, in 1993, no bull’s eye means no Lyme. 🙄 At 30 after having my last child I got Bells Palsy. A few years later I was dx’d with Fibromyalgia about a year and a half later I tested positive for Lyme. I did 1.5 rounds of IV antibiotics got a blood clot —they took the pic line out. I refused to get another pic line put back in. 15 years later…here I am with a tiny red spot and sporadic sharp pain. ??

If I were you - I’d find a LLMD for a consult and likely treatment.

i have heard of people continuing to experience bulls eye rashes years after initially contracting lyme disease

sometimes at the original site - sometimes multiple bulls eyes over different areas of the body

i have also heard of people having recurrent pain in the place they originally had it from lyme disease.

the infection is known to cause prior injuries or issues to flareup - especially muscular skeletal or nerve related ones.

overall if you are experiencing more symptoms consistent with lyme - i would also suggest seeing an LLMD for assessments / possible treatment

Hopegirl, did you continue other types of treatment after your PICC line was removed, or did you stop treatment entirely at that point? Had all your symptoms resolved when you stopped treatment, or have you felt sick this whole time?

Something that jumps out at me, if I did the math correctly, is that you are around 50, right? Perimenopause-related hormonal changes can make all of our bodies' issues flare, including resurgences in neurological dysfunction, wonky pain signals, loads of new symptoms, increased inflammation, and flares of chronic infections that our immune systems previously held in check reliably. If you think there might be a correlation between symptoms flaring and hormone shifts, then perhaps support for the hormone shifts could be a useful angle to explore, in addition to infections.
