Fluconazole for mold/yeast HEADACHE

If it’s a detox reaction I’d be careful with the sauna. That’s only going to make things worse acutely.

Could be a candida die off. Could be a colonization being hit. There’s also growing evidence that these anti fungals can hit bartonella.

Some of us are just sensitive to certain meds.

Sauna is known to "stir up" toxins that are being held in the lipid layer. So while you may dump some toxins in sauna while sweating, a lot of us can end up increasing the toxic burden acutely as the body can't clear the toxins via sauna at the rate their being released in the body. This is why a lot of people in the chronic illness space have to work up slowly with things like an IR sauna.

If your body already has an increased burden from a treatment it can further complicate the above angle. Now this is all very unique to each individual, if you're fairly functional, detox pathways are open and it's later on in your journey it could be tolerable..

Anyone having a die off could probably use support in the detox pathways (i.e. liver/spleen). But a detox reaction can look identical to another's die off. To further complicate this some of us just don't feel good on certain supplements/meds and one can confuse that with a die off / detox response.

All of this is why "low and slow" is often the go to approach.

If you have a yeast or mold problem, it’s likely the headaches are from fungal die-off. Take Molybdenum. It should help. Alka-Selzer Gold (if you can find it) might also help. Something like Dr Mercola H2 supplement is another option that might help.

Have you noticed any interactions of fluconazole with general abx such as tetracyclines, rifampicin etc? on drugs.com it says yes there are, even major, moderate, but I have not noticed anything particular. It has long half life (150mg / 34 hours).. Still I have heard that for the system candida it is perhaps one of the most effective.. taking it perhaps twice a week can be good to deal with yeast, mold, I guess...
