Back in a day, it was pretty popular and had many different subjects.
its health sub forums each had a handful of active and knowledgeable people that really knew the information well.
They had great and knowledgeable people on their thyroid forum and that’s where I learned about
desiccated thyroid years ago. They truly helped me on an individual basis and now they’re gone.
Then they changed their format, probably around eight years ago, and it was really hard to follow posts. You could no longer just scroll down and look at past postings like you still can hear. After that, people stopped using it.
I know I browsed it sometime early last spring and I guess it finally closed up the doors Completely on all platforms Spring 2024. I say all platforms because they did eventually spread to Facebook and even to X which I never really looked at anyway.
This is a perfect example where AI is wrong since it says med help closed up shop May 2022, nope, completely wrong!! This happened May 2024!!
A majority of the younger generations do not support these type of individual forums, which is a concern. You can’t really learn anything on Facebook. It doesn’t have a post that you can continuously follow. Peoples answers are short and often worthless information.
And Reddit consist of 75% youngsters who are somewhat clueless with their potty mouth replies. The knowledgeable people who are there are usually older and definitely stand out from the rest, but they are hard to find.
