Finishing the SOT presentation. The Dr shares the knowledge she has acquired (ILADS, LLMDs that have used SOT for their patients, talking w/ RGCC). She has not treated any of her patients yet, she is going to use SOT herself first.

I’ve been saying for awhile I think SOT will eventually have to be a “tick borne infection blend” to really help our demo.

Sorta like what phagencorp is trying to do with phage therapy.

Unless we get better testing to more accurately say which microbe(s) are driving symptoms.

I know that phage therapy at the time you needed to spend like 2 weeks at their clinic to be able to try it.

To my knowledge SOT needs to have a prior positive within the past year, from there they do a blood draw and I forgot if it’s an “immuno-cytokine” panel or if there’s some other DNA sequencing RGCC does. Maybe both?

I actually went to Lymestop vs trying sot after lurking on both facebooks for a year.

Lymestop appeared to have more positive dialog with next to no worsening outcomes post short term, plus the comprehensive nature of “treatment” Where as sot was like 1/3 positive 1/3 neutral 1/3 negative, and the need to repeat for either subspecies or co infections etc. Different clinics claim different rates.

While Lymestop hasn’t fixed everything for me and I’m not at 100% - I do think they’re on to something and I’ll probably do yearly visits for the foreseeable future regardless.

yep 90% success rate seems a bit of a wild claim to me - given that no treatment so far has that kind of performance
