I'm new to the group. I have been having headaches since Oct of last year. I went to 2 Nuerologists that just wanted to drug me and not find out whats going on, I finally found a Nuerologist who is trying to find out whats going on and also trying to help me get on the right medications. Currently I'm diagnosed with Cronic Daily Headaches, Migraines, and a Pontine Capillary Telangiectasia. I had MRI's in Oct and May and my Neurologist will be able to tell me if there has been a change in the Telangiectasia.
Currently I'm taking:
Zyrtec 10 mg - my original Nuerologist thought that my mygraines, he said the were all mygraines, and they we caused by allergies, sinus issues, along with TMJ issues that I have neglected to take care of properly for years, thats another story but the allergies are why I take the Zyrtec.
Magnesium 250 mg 2 times a day
Topamax 25 mg @ bedtime
Probiotic - My digestive system is messed up durring and for a while after a Migraine, this has helped some, but I should take it with every meal, I usually only take it with breakfast.
Zonegran 100 mg @ bedtime
Women's Daily Vitamin
Cymbalta 60 mg taken in the am
Ambien 5 mg at bedtime -I'm trying to get off of this, but if I don't sleep well I get Migraines. I was on 10 Mg nighly for awhile, when I tried to get off the migraines were horibble the next day so I asked for 5 mg, now I take it only on week nights. Weekends are misereable!
When I have a Migraine I treat them with either ice, rest, or Biobreeze, which is a product that I bought from my chiropractor. I don't have a current medication that works for me and my Dr is ok with, thats something I need to talk to her about next time I see her.
