When I explored the treatment 2 or 3 years ago it was fairly difficult to get your hands on a TMS device without being in a clinical trial. I don't know how much that has changed since. But as for its efficacy, media coverage has portrayed it as a panacea, a veritable wonder-treatment, and it has shown promise for the treatment of neuropathy and associated disorders. But the doctors that I've spoken with have been pretty well split about whether they think it's worthwhile. The neurologists who have looked positively on TMS have said that, if it has shown some promising results, then it's worth trying. Though that's not a strong endorsement I think many of the doctors who have said that's it's a waste of time may be influenced by the stigma attached to magnetic treatments for neurological disorders--magnets don't have a great track record in treating headaches.

That being said, if you get a chance to try it out I would definitely suggest that you try it. There's good science behind the treatment and there's really nothing to lose.

I am so happy to have found this sight. The doctor's were starting to make me feel like my syptoms were fictional. First of all, about the zapping of migraines......I have never researched it, but my aunt has had repeated shock treatments for other stuff and she is a mess. I would definintely explore other avenues or do more research about it. I'm going on 53 days now with this head pressure, and the doctors and neurologists are just sending me away with meds. Sometimes, the pressure has been so great that it feels like I'm not sure maybe a seizure or a stroke but with full awareness. It feels like someone is squeezing my brain and pushing down on it. While the meds and chiropractor are helping, I feel I need to find the root of the problem. I have children that depend on me.So, I'm taking what I can of this in to my own hands. Since all of us have seen different kinds and multitudes of doctors and we all have similar, mystery symptoms.........I don't really know what I'm proposing. My friend wants me to go on the learning channel mystery illnesses. I just want answers and relief as I'm sure all of you do.
