I have had the occasional migraine for most of my life. My mother and grandmother both get em. Seems to be a wonderful family trait, but fortunately for me, I do not get them often at all. However, I have odd headaches in the back of my head sometimes. It started a few years back when I had gall bladder surgery. The pain medication that they would give me would cause a pressure and horrible headache very briefly when they injected it. Only lasted a few seconds, but horribly uncomfortable. I have had this occasionally with medications over the years. But then I have it at weird times. For example, I will be laughing or really happy about
something and I will get the rushing sensation and horrible ache in the back of my head. Again, just briefly, but horribly uncomfortable. It is a really strange feeling. Almost like a head rush, but painful and concentrated solely in the lower part of the back of my head. As I said, this has been the case for years. I asked my Dr about
it a few years ago, but she just dismissed it, so I assume that all is well, but for the last few days, I have just randomly developed one while sitting around, driving and mostly been woken up with a headache in the same area. Not the rushing feeling so much, but a dull ache from the base of my skull to the middle back of my head. Not brief like before either. A constant ache and almost a pressure. Anyone deal with anything like this?
