I have had a near-constant headache for 9 days now. The pain is behind my eyes, on my temples (mostly the right side, but the left is not without pain), scalp tenderness, and a sore spot on my forehead. In addition to that, I have nausea, am extremely sensitive to smell. There are times when it seems like it may be getting better, but then it just hits me again. The first 5 days were unbearable.
I went to the ER where they did a CT Scan without contrast and could see no abnormalities. My blood work was also fine. Advil is not helping at all, as it always has in the past with my migraines. Usually, it’s as simple as a hot shower, 3 Advil, and some caffeine and my headache is gone by morning, but not with this one.
I do have a tooth that needs to be pulled, but the ER doctor did not think that was the reason for the headache.
Does this sound like migraine? Does any kind of normal headache last this long?
