I seem to have lost the ability to hear the directions of sounds. I'll hear something and turn my head to find the source only to find its occurring in a completely different area. And some sounds don't make sense to me. I'll think I'm hearing a ticking sound only to discover it's water from the fountain.

It's strange. My husband as seen me turn my head in the wrong direction to locate a noise. Anyone have this? I'm assuming it's MS. I hear conversation just fine. I hear quiet noises; it's just I'm confused by some sounds.

I just posted in another thread about ear pressure. Not sure if it has anything to do with it but an ENT had just diagnosed me today with this bad boy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporomandibular_joint_dysfunction

Not sure if it's the cause of what you're experiencing but it's worth a shot.

I don't have any ear pressure. I do have TMJ.....diagnosed nearly 20 years ago. It's not been a huge issue.

I found a neuro-otologist in my area. Perhaps I'll make an appointment when school lets out for the summer.
