clean brain MRI...too early to diagnose?

Hello a few months ago I started having weird symptoms happening lots of numbness mostly in my arm and side of my face..and some vertigo. I had an overnight stay at the hospital about a month ago and I had a ct scan and he wanted to do an MRI because he said the symptoms I'm having sounded suspicious and that I'm at the age where MS symptoms start to appear. Now has anyone had a clean MRI at first? None of my symptoms are going away and they said they don't know what's wrong but told me I should see a neurologist if the problems don't go away.

Hi there. I'm sorry you find yourself in this situation. Be sure you have a digital copy of your MRI as well as the written report. That is now your baseline. Also, be sure that the neurologist you see is an MS expert.

ER Doctors are great but there's no replacing seeing an expert. It might be a good idea to see that neurologist as soon as possible. You most likely won't receive an MS diagnosis with a clean MRI. The neurologist can do a thorough exam to test for abnormal reflexes and responses.
