My neurologist ordered a serum electrophoresis some time ago and we have been monitoring my iga. Now I know this isn't a hematology forum, but I've read that some things she has tested for could be related to MS such as beta 2 gobulin.
I can't make heads or tales of my reults, so I'm hoping someone here can. It should be noted that I'm also on Copaxone and not an immunology suppressant.
I'll list the markers that came back high;
IGA 4.53 g/l
Total protein 83 g/l
Albumin 51.3 g/l
Beta 2 5.2 g/l
Also noted is the serum protein electrophoresis does not suggest a monoclonal pattern. Beta gamma bridging is observed, but this may be due to a diffuse increase in IGA
Immunofluxation-no monoclonal band is detected.
As well,
My hemotocrit has always been between .400and.420 and my red blood cells count constantly fluctuates between 4.8and 5.0
Mcv sits at 84
Any help would be great as I don't have an apt with the doc for another month.
