Long story short , I received the flu shot sept 2014 and got deathly ill afterwards and developed weird neuro symptoms directly after along with many other things. I got many tests done over the year after mris , ssep , emgs and they were all normal . Finally got Lyme disease diagnosis . My question is anyone else here have clean mris and ssep and still develop ms ? It's a big fear of mine . Currently in treatment for Lyme but it's a roller coaster ride ! Any insight would be great

If you've been diagnosed with Lyme disease, then that can explain your symptoms. MS is a diagnosis of exclusion; you won't be diagnosed with MS unless all other possible disease explanations have been ruled out. You may want to google "McDonald criteria for diagnosing MS."

You've had a lot of testing that all indicates that you do not have MS. My suggestion is to concentrate on curing your Lyme disease. You are stressing about something that appears to have been ruled out. Stress is a terrible thing for our bodies.

Thanks Gretchen for feedback it's just frustrating when my symptoms are changing ! Maybe I'm finding it hard to accept all my symptoms are just Lyme . That's why I'm seeing if my ssep and mris were clean what are chances that next time if I get tested it's not

Remember that Lyme disease can also cause lesions on the brain and neurological symptoms. There is always a chance. If you're worried, ask your doctor run the tests again in 6 months.

It can take years for some people to receive a diagnosis of MS. For the time being, concentrate on curing your Lyme disease. Once cured, you may return to good health.
