Well, I just called my pcp to make an appointment for tomorrow about
depression. In the past few weeks, I am finding myself crying at least once a day; sometimes several.
I have avoided
AD because I have reactions to so many drugs. I tried Paxil for one week back in April when I was on steriods and felt terrible. Lost 10 pounds in 6 days, was out of it, couldn't sleep, could not concentrate, and had a fast heart rate for several weeks afterwards. Now I do not know if it was the paxil or the steriods causing my problems. My pcp tried prescribing other AD's (including cymbalta) but I did not take them out of fear. I felt like they were pushing them on me and I didn't need them. Now I feel like I have to give them a try. I am currently taking neurontin,so I am not sure if I can take cymbalta. My neuro does not prescribe anti depressants. On a better note, I have been takin caxapone for 2 weeks now and have no major reactions; just burning and redness that goes away in about an hour. Knock on wood!
