I'm fed up! I've been waiting 3 months for the biggest and only surgery of my life only to be called yesterday and told that it had been cancelled and a new date will be sorted! Due to have proctocolectomy incl rectum and anus removal and end ileo tomorrow.
It took me years to work up the courage to have it done and what was supposed to have been a 4 wk wait turned into 3 mths. I've gone through so many emotions in the last months, not slept, exhausted and now its back to the drawing board getting myself psyched up all over again!
Sorry, I know I'm whinging and i'm fed up with having crohns, but can I do it all over again!

You have every right to whine, yell, kick things, whatever.... How horrible! That waiting is so emotionally challenging. Did they say why and when?

I saw you mention this in my thread. You have every right to be upset. I know I was in a weird place after booking surgery - psyched up and on edge. It had taken me a year to pluck up the courage to book surgery in the first place. You are not alone: I have heard of people cancelling surgery they were so nervous about it.

All I can say is you will get your operation. I hope it's not a long wait.
