adhesions

This is my first post, it seems the posts are so old.i finally found a doc. in florida dr.jay a.redan with florida hospital celebration health. I am totally bedridden with adhesions, I have had 10 blockages.food is becoming more difficult.i live I colorado and I can not find a surgeon that knows anything about adhesions.i am totally frustated.the only thing that has gotten me throuh is my faith in God.at times I feel so desperate, I was so happy to find this site.just knowing that there are others out there who are sufferig too it seems to help with the emotions.i have called that hospital and they are doing alot of researh with adhesions, people are really being helped.if someone would like to comment I would love to hear from you.

I have had major problems with adhesions for years......starting in 2006 I had over 20 Small bowel obstructions that cleared after 8-12 hours of excrutiating pain, I also had 7 that put me in the hospital for 2-4 days. No surgeon would touch me....too difficult, possible fistulas, blah blah blah. After five years I found a surgeon at UCSF who said I think I can fix you....I had a major open surgery and all was well for about 2 years, then I was dx with rectal cancer and had another surgery last year. Well I just had another SBO that cleared....so now what ? This is a major major issue for a small number of us, but most docs don't want to get involved.....it is horrific
