More staples showing

Are you sure they're staples? Usually stomas have dissolvable sutures. Staples would have been removed within a week or two of surgery, I think.

Surgery was dec 17 last year.

Yes Pluot, they are really small staples. about the size of a newborns fingernail tip. I have the first two in a bag.

My first surgery, two years ago, I never had this problem. Although, where they took off my first bag. My body pushed out two stitches at towel different times.

I guess my body just doesn't want anything in there. Lol

I will let you know what I find out, in case it ever happens to anyone else.

Well I went to the surgeon. The staples are from the stoma attachment. It's normal for the body to push them out as it heals. In my mind, I'm thinking why would you use them then and not stitches, like my other surgeon from my first stoma.

My stoma is becoming prolapsed and so he is doing stage two ( the j-pouch ) April 15 instead of June. I'm happy for that, maybe he will use stitches the second time, I doubt it.
