Sore bottom after surgery

Hi there,

I am 3 weeks post op for permanent ileiostomy and had my stitches removed yesterday from my bottom> my question is that i am recovering well from the whole surgery except this constant pain and discomfort from my bottom area. I have to sit on my waffle cushion when sitting and it just feels so uncomfortable. The only reason i am taking the pain killers still is because of this pain otherwise everything else has been fine. does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone experienced this? does it take longer? my osmotic nurse said everything looks ok just having slight discharge still from that area but that is normal apparently.

I had total proctocolectomy on December 3. Aside from some minor issues with the ileo, the butt pain is the worst part right now. I went to see Star Wars over the weekend and was really uncomfortable by the end of the movie. My surgeon did warn me about that prior to surgery and said it just takes time.
