Anal Leakage after Proctocolectomy

My husband went 2 years after loop ileostomy, due to poor healing, the ostomy never reversed. Last week, he started leaking stool from his rectum. With an enema a large amount of hard stool and mucus came out. Doctor did a flexsigmoidoscopy and said the bowel was healthy, but that a lot of stool had leaked down the intestine side of the loop.
