Hey guys! So I haven't been in here for a few months, but I'm happy to say that next Thursday, the 19th of July, I'm going in for my reversal! Yippee! I'm so thrilled, and I just wanted to thank you guys for all the help and comfort you've given me. :)
I just have a few questions about recovery, though. My surgeon informed me that I still have my ileocecal valve, and therefore, my recovery shouldn't be too bad. I'm just wondering what I should do in terms of eating, when I should reintroduce certain foods like veggies, fruits, and meats to my diet, and is there anything important to know? How's the pain?
If you've had a reversal, please tell me how long it took for you to pass your first BM, and what you did to help it along. Just the general story of your reversal would be awesome. Thank you so much.
I still have my entire large intestine, if that helps.
Thank you!
