Well I am just home from a three day winter camp in Quebec with my daughters grade 6 class. I cross country skied 15 kms, snowshoed 5 kms, went sledding and skating. My system never leaked, in fact I had to touch it to remind myself it was still there. I was able to eat all the food that was served at camp and finally feel like I am back to living life! My daughter was so happy to see me having fun and not having to sit activities out because of my stupid crohns. It was such an amazing experience for the both of us!
Next saturday we leave for two weeks in the sun and sand!
Six months after emergency, life saving surgery, I feel like I now have my life back and I can't wait to see what is around the corner!!!

Awesome Lara! My husband feels the same way. We are both making up for a lot of lost time too.

Congrats!! We've been living with this disease for so long I can't imagine doing a fraction of what you've done. I hope the good health lasts a lifetime for all of you!
