Just got back from the surgeons- he was able to remove all the stapled from my open incision, the one similar to a c-section. But only some of them from the perianal wound- there are still 7 left, I go back next Tuesday to get those out. He said everything looks good, no sign of infection, but one of the stapled sort of has skin growing around it- of course that one is one that's still there! he said it would be crazy sensitive when it comes out, but next week it is. I do feel better with the majority of them gone, was really hpoing to have all of them gone by now! And I can still use pain meds if I need too- hasn't even been 2 weeks yet. Frustrating! But glad to get a good report. The path report from the colon showed chronic, severe ulcerative colitis- there is a gray area near the distal colon, which was sent up to a pathologist in Boston to read- but the surgeon doesn't think it'll come back as Crohns, & neither do I. I'm crabby today, my output is slow, stupid staples, etc...!!!! Ah well, better days ahead! And, still no leaks!
