It will slow down, but mine took about two months. By that time you may be close to your "takedown". As said before, watch the sugary stuff. It's probably obvious, but avoid spices and raw vegetables/vegetable skin. Also, steer clear of caffeine, man that stuff is the devils urine to a loop ileo! Good stuff includes porridge (oatmeal), mashed potato, boiled/ steamed rice, apple sauce, white bread, peanut butter, chicken, rice crispies, rice cakes.
I know it's hard to hear when you're suffering, but it really does take patience and some experimentation. And it is possible to gain weight with a loop, I purposefully gained over two stones before takedown, as I knew I'd lose it after. I find it much harder to gain weight with a j-pouch, as I have lots of issues, but that's another story, and not what you need to hear right now.
