Hi folks! Does anyone here use strip paste instead of Eakin seals or Brava rings? Now, after 2 years of trouble free ostomy life, I've been having night-time leaks- not daily, but 2-3x over the past few months. It seems to be stuff pancaking at the top of the bag, then pushing out under the wafer. Lovely. But I"m wondering if the Eakin seals are a bit thick, maybe lifting the wafer up enough to allow the stuff to get under easier? As it is I sue the Eakin slims, but... I did use strip paste years ago, & have some in my supply stass- it worked ok. I mean, my stoma is sort of like a mushroom, wider at the top then bottom, so I use an Eakin & fit the wafer over it. There's a tiny bit of Eakin showing under the wafer, you know? If I sure the strip paste, do I put it on over the wafer, or under it? On top may be better, in that it will allow a greater seal, but still protect the skin? Hhm... any thoughts?
