Drainage from stitches

I had 5 stitches in my leg after a fall. this was almost 72hrs ago. Dr said some oozing normal, but this is light pinkish drainage, quite a bit. I can't keep a dry dressing on. No pain or pus. Is this normal and for how long. Please advise.
