Step one of 2-3 step procedure. Recovery question?

The plan is for it to be minimally invasive laparscopic surgery. I realize I'm not doing jumping jacks when I leave the hospital. I have a desk job I would love to return too. I belong to a certain fellowship that I love to attend and haven't been to in 3 months. It takes NO physical activity what so ever haha. I have lost 60 pounds and would like to go shopping with the assistance of my mom so I can get clothes that actually fit haha. My question is how long after I leave this hospital if all goes according to plan and no complications should I be able to hit up the mall for an hour or go to my fellowship and best of all go to my cushy desk job haha. Keep in mind I'm only 25 years old so I'd like to get back sooner rather than later. Anyone have any experience herr?

If it is just a colectomy (colon removal) with an end ileo then I was back to work in 3 weeks. You're in the hospital 2-5 days, I had a small complication so I was in for 7 days and still made it back to work in 3 weeks. That was step-1 of a 3 step.

If you have a 2-step procedure than step-1 is the biggest surgery were they combine steps 1&2 (remove colon and build jpouch all at once). It's a very big surgery and you'll need more time to recovery.

Building the jpouch is the biggest surgery and definitely takes the most time to heal.

Yea I'm under the impression it will probably be a 3 step process. I'd like to get everything thru in two just because surgery sucks let's get real haha. But I need to get back into work for money andbi need a quick recovery to get back into social life bc this took alot out of me mentally and left me feeling isolated. I'm so ready to go shopping and out to eat or go see a movie with my friends you know basically impossible stuff during a bad U C glare6
