Here is a link to responses from PCa survivors about
the whole sex after surgery oversell by doctors. As my wife said, some are heartbreaking, some are encouraging.

I have to remind myself that the problem isn't that the patient could end up impotent, that is fate. There are thousands of medical situations which are tragic - diabetes resulting in blindness or amputation, for example. The "crime" is that doctors are less than forthright and do not disclose the reality of the spectrum of outcomes. In fact, that is one reason I did not stay with my local urologist. He was less than open about the side affects of a biopsy. When I was bloody for weeks, he brushed off my concerns and said that it hardly ever happens like that. i told him that I should have been told the entire range of possible outcomes. My second biopsy was better, but I still had bloody semen for weeks.
anyway, it is interesting reading.
