Which type of injection do you use....and related questions.....

I started with Caverject the first and last time in the doctors office. Because of the pain that I experienced, I asked him to write me a prescription for Bimix before I left the office. I have never used trimix.

My penis is rock-solid, and the head is not as "full" as with a natural erection. Since bimix, I have never had a problem having intercourse.

I inject myself, but since I am right-handed, I am more concerned about hitting the right spot with my left hand, and pushing the syringe.

The first time was in the doctors office with Caverject. I told him I wanted to do the injection while he watched. He agreed, and told me that I was the 1st patient of his that ever requested to do that. Success but painful feeling.

I have been using the bimix since November 2007, and even though I filled the 1st prescription for caverject, I will probably never use it.

I have never used the pump, and from some of the things I have read here, I don't think I want to start.

Originally I was prescribed Cialis every other day before starting injections. A whole cialis gave me side effects....headaches and more that normal migranes. Doc said take 1/2 every other day. I do that occasionally now. I also use 100mg of Viagra occasionally, and had my 1st success with intercourse on 100 mg Viagra. Short session, but success none the less.

The key to this is to keep "working it", however you treat it with medication or injections.

I use injections twice/week.

I alternate injection each time. Wednesdays....left. Saturdays...right.

I have never had any issues with Peyronies.

Caverject?

  Yes, but stopped due to pain and aching being too much for the results.  Got the firmest (almost rock hard), longest lasting erection from it though.

Bimix?

  Yes, currently using it, .5ml in a 31 ga, 5/16 inch needle syringe.  Most times successful, although the firmness is  somewhat l   less than the Caverject was.  

Trimix?

  Not tried it

Does your penis head get firm or just the shaft?

  Just the shaft, the head does not get hard.   However, with the pump it does, so go figure.

Do you inject yourself or does your partner do this for you?

  I inject myself

   I did it myself, at home

How long have you used injections?  Did your doctor require you to use a pump for X months before agreeing to prescribe injections?

   I have injected for 2 months now.  No requirements of using the pump first.  I requested the injections at 3 months post c    catheter removal as a part of rehab therepy for erections and he prescribed it. 

Do you still use Viagra or a similar drug and if so, in what way relative to your injections?

    I take 50mg. generic Viagra daily, even on days of injecting.  But the Viagra is taken a couple hours after injecting.

Do you still use a pump and if so, in what way relative to your injections?

     I use the pump morning and night daily for infusion therepy.  I also use the pump to plump up my penis prior to injecting,  t     this seems to make hitting the mark and diffusing the drug easier.

How often do you use injections?

      I inject twice a week, usually.

Do you inject on one side only or do you rotate left and right?

      I inject on both side, rotating each time.

Do any of you have pre-existing Peyronie's and if so, did/do injections work okay for you

    No pre-existing Peyronie's. 

Caverject? Prostaglandin alone gave me painful erections and Peyronie's.

Bimix? This is what I currently use

Trimix? Tried a couple of times, erections were painful.

Does your penis head get firm or just the shaft? Just the shaft, though I wouldn't describe the head as floppy.

Do you inject yourself or does your partner do this for you? I inject myself. I cannot imagine having my partner inject me there.

The first time, did the doctor or PA do it for you in the office? Had several injections in the doctor's office, mostly when being examined for Peyronie's side effects that happened early on. I probably did not inject correctly initially, though lack of training was partially to blame, IMO.

How long have you used injections? Did your doctor require you to use a pump for X months before agreeing to prescribe injections? I wasn't required to use a pump - after my inquiring about lack of injections, it was suggested. Same for injections. I wish I had been pointed to both the pump and the injections earlier.

Do you still use Viagra or a similar drug and if so, in what way relative to your injections? I use Levitra 20 mg (generic) daily, Viagra if I am out.

Do you still use a pump and if so, in what way relative to your injections? I use pump on non-injection days if I want to ********* or have intercourse.

How often do you use injections? ad hoc, though trying to increase to at least weekly, as that seems to help. Cost is a factor, though.

Do you inject on one side only or do you rotate left and right? Always rotate to decrease chance of Peyronies increasing.

Do any of you have pre-existing Peyronie's and if so, did/do injections work okay for you? Peyronie's happened completely after surgery and perhaps pump and injections. Again, I think I did not get the best instruction, and definitely not the best follow-up.
