Tomorrow's the day folks - my husband's cystoscopy.  Here's hoping all is well and this is totally precautionary.  My husband is trying to tell me I don't need to be there but, alas, he loses again - I'll be there.  I'm really hoping that the urologist can give us the results before we leave the hospital - no need not to as you can see the screen during the entire procedure and in my husband's words "it is what it is" ...

Thanks for your support - I'll update you when I'm able.

   Our thoughts and prayers surround you both as you continue to move forward!! I spoke with my 90 year “young” Uncle last night and he’s had 2 cystoscopes  and he’s done extremely well from them.   He has a little incontinence after each scope but bounces back quickly.   He gets to see the whole thing on screen… (He’s still doing other peoples income tax…) Take care of "Our Julie"....and your loved one. I have had one regular cystoscope where they just went in and looked around. I have also had three collagen injections that are similar to a cystoscope. The main difference with the injection probe they use is that it is a ridgid scope. It is not flexable like the normal cystoscope. The Doctor should be able to tell you right there if things are OK or not. You did not mention why you are having this done unless I missed it in an earlier post.
Do not be surprised if you are a little sore for a day or so afterwards. There will also be a small amount of blood in your urine for a day or so.

Hi Julie,

I will keep you and your hubby in my prayers, I hope everything looks good for you both. I hope you don't have to wait for the results, a big part of this disease is it seems we are always waiting which just builds stress.

Good new and bad news ...

My husband did not do well with the cystoscopy yesterday had a really hard time - hard enough to keep him in the hospital recovery area for awhile :(

Good news and not so good news ...

The bladder is clean (which is good) the not so good is he is scheduled for a CAT scan tomorrow as the Urologist found something on his kidney.  His CAT results will be back May 8th so we'll know better then.  Stay tuned for the followup and thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers, they are truly what helps me to take the next step down the road.
