Just a quick note to say hi to everyone. I've been lurking here awhile. As you can see from my profile, I joined the PC "club" last fall and had my RRP surgery in December. I recuperated over the holidays and went back to work (worked online from home) first week of January, and drove in a couple of days the second week. This week I rode my motorcycle sidecar rig in a couple of times, and worked from home the last two days since it was less than 30F in the AM.

I feel pretty good right now, but am a bit disappointed with my incontinence. I don't care too much about the ED at this stage.

But thanks to all the great info on this board, I feel I'm doing as well as I can at this stage.

My first PSA after surgery is scheduled for March 25. I see the doc few weeks later and will update my profile.

Dan, Welcome to HW. Hate you gotta be here, but glad you came. You move on to the other side club and join us in our Journey of recovery. Stick around and share with us. Good luck on your first psa test in March, just like they say, the first is the worse, as each one comes along, you begin to relax.... wink

Dan...the man with a plan...AND you CAN!! Pretty good , huh?!! You are soon out of surgery. Be patient, and things will get better with time... Stay with us here, and you will get a lot of advice from people who have gone through exactly what you have......Di

OS, I'm down here in FL, but moved here from Pataskala, Ohio in 2004 after having lived there for 17 years! Never was a Buckeye, but I had many Buckeye friends!

Hi Dan,

Did you have any issue with potency prior to the surgery?

Did the Dr. specifically perfom a nerve sparing procedre?

Hoping for a very - PSA.

I had no issue with potency before surgery.

Yes, the da Vinci robotic surgery I had was nerve sparing, which seems to be the point of the da Vinci procedure. I guess I never thought to ask if it was otherwise.

Hi Dan

You sound like you are not doing that bad but are depressed because you are where you are. I am doing very well physically. We are in about the same position for dates of surgery/recovery. My dr. explained it takes time. And we, being men, are very impatient.

Hang in there. We are all in the same boat. And we will get through this together.
