Invance Male Sling or Virtue Male Sling

Has anyone had experience with the Invance Male Sling by AMS. My Dr. has recommended it for my condition and would appreciate others experience.

RP July 2009

PSA jumped from 4 to 8 in one year. Biopsy confirmed PC. Gleason score 6. Detected early and not spread.

Incontinent from the start. Dry at night and when sitting but free slowing, little control when standing or out and about. Been through physical thearpy, drugs, electrical thearpy with no help. Went through all the tests last week including FUDS and Cystoscopy. Dr. says I am a good candidate for a male sling. She has done about 100 Invance (by AMS) slings with 75% success rate. Has done 6 Virtue (by Coloplast) slings also with good results.

Any help appreciated.

I had the AdVance sling by AMS. This is the newer version. I really do not remember what the difference there is between the AdVance and the InVance. I have never looked into the Virtue. My sling did not work. At the time I was SOAKING 8+ Depends Guards for Men a day and even the Doctor was not sure how much relief I would get. Anyway, I would ask your Doctor what are the advantages of each sling. Do your research on line. Then make the decision that is right for you! That is all any of us can do.
