Long Term Survivors: How did salvage radiation go?

My PSA jumped up again and now it's off to Salvage Radiation.

So! how did it go? Was it worth it? Did it bat the beast down and for how long?

I finished salvage radiation almost exactly three years ago.
My PSA dropped to less than 0.1 by 6 months after treatment, and has remained there since. My next check will be in July.

I had a passing (pun intended) side effect of proctitis (loose stools, painful bowel movements) which was easily treated and temporary.
ED was not worsened, still recover 100% functionality with Cialis. No problem with incontinence.
The treatments themselves were a piece of cake.

So for me, yes, it seems like it was worth it.
Time will tell...

I completed 39 treatments this past Thanksgiving. I had a lot of issues then and now with it, but had some built in complications that most wouldn't have. Jury is still out as to whether it helped me or not. Getting my second reading soon, April 6th
