DJ, so far, Ive only met men with this firm, not to say they don't have women working for them. Of all the key players, only one was younger than I, which is unusual in a way. Since I am not undergoing any treatments, have already had my major op and already had salvage radiation, there is nothing left curative on the table for me if recurrance happens again, so saw no reason to raise a red flag. Be different if I knew a month from now I would be starting radiation or something major like that. They never asked me a single health related question, not even a hint of my health, so I feel that was ok with me. Didnt have to hide or make any misleading health answers up in the extensive health process. Though if they sniffed me out with Facebook or You Tube, they could find out plenty. I had thought about those social network type places, but refused to hide my true self in those places for the sake of a job.

Thanks, sincerely, Mal. Yeah, since the average age of a PC dx is around 65 or so, lots of men have already reached their retirement age before getting involved in their PC journeys. Belive it or not, when I was dx at 56, my uro said I was one of his youngest PC patients, though I know we have quite a few younger brothers here among us.

Yes, fighting PC and my own unique set of ongoing complications, as well as the pressure to get re-employed during one of the worse economic melt downs in my lifetime, made for quite a stressful time. Am relieved that at least one of the fights appear to be over with the securing of this position, and I can only hope my PC stays in remission. And one day, I still have to believe that I won't need a catheter hanging out of me.

Jeff, will have to remember the Japanese part. Though my bride was an army brat, she was actually born in Tokyo. I have studied a lot of languages in my life, but never Japanese.

I had two overseas assignments in Japan. Lived there 9 years and worked with Japanese customers for 15. We still have a lot of friends there and visit every few years. We all take turns. They stay at our place and we stay at theirs. Fun.

Thanks Deehunter. My mind is already kept busy on any number of other projects. My only real limitation is what you can safely do with a catheter hanging from you. It's a rare moment, when I ever sitting around doing nothing and feeling bored. I joke to people, that I am usually much busier during periods of unemployment than I am when I am working
