My good thoughts and prayers are certainly with you David. You've been through enough for a platoon of men and I hope your journey with these catheters can come to a positive end.

Saturday evening.

Got smart today, and stayed home all day until late this afternoon. I saved my energy level so that I could take my wife out for dinner and a little shopping. Just got back into the pain zone again, but I am safely home and don't have to go anywhere else. God, having 2 caths in at the same time really, really sucks, just no adequate to explain how it really feels.

Sunday Evening Update:

Not one of my better days. Was up most of the night, couldn't get comfortable with both caths, didn't get to sleep at all till nearly 6 AM, got up at Noon. By 4 pm, had to go back to pain meds, after several severe spasms that knocked me for a loop. We celebrated my oldests son's 33rd birthday today, with a cook out here at the house. That went well until I had a mega spasm, that literally dropped me to the floor in pain. Back resting, seems like that is all i can do of any use these days. The thought of having to wear both caths for another 8 days right now is unbearable, but I got to try to make it. The temptation to remove it early is very strong and would be easy to do. Just trying to do what, is right in this situation, but sometimes enough pain will give way to irrational thoughts.

Oh David...

I am so ashamed that I complain about leaking pee pads, wet pants and ED.

We are here if you need support.
I hope tonight is better than last.

jeff, appreciate your sentiments, but i feel long term incontinence and ED issues are every bit as aggervating and depressing to deal with then even my isuses. i care just as much the other way around. no one has an easy journey in my opinion

David, Again, I have no words sufficient, or even token, to send you the support I want to send. I have no idea how you'll get through the next days, except one hour at a time.

Thanks Sheldon. With the help of my family, and my friends here (yourself included) at HW, I plan to make it through this rough part, and hopefully to some better times soon. One just never, ever knows how many twists and turns you find in a lifetime.

Was looking over your signature again, you really are doing good, and I hope and pray you stay in the "good"zone for many years to come.

Ditto's what everyone else has said about your courage and your ordeal. My sling and AUS surgery and recovery seem so incidental to what you deal with every day. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily! Thanks for all you do on healing well!

I am recovering at home this week and look forward to spending more time on the forum...what great support this is for all of us.

thank you tall guy,

your surgery for what you had done is definitely a major thing, mine, more of a chronic thing, by itself shouldnt be a big deal, except there seems to never be an end to it. i keep getting tripped up on the small stuff, which can be just as aggervating. i am hoping your recovery goes smooth, and that you get the results you need and deserve

Always seems that a lot of small stuff adds up to more than one big thing, even though it doesn't seem right that it should.

David hope things are getting better, been on the road trip since the 6-29- just got back Monday the 7-12 haven't been log in maybe this will do the trick i hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know, I don't meet again with my doctor until next Monday, July 19th.
