Salvage Radiation Treatments - Water Intake

i was told to drink water and there was a water machine in the waiting room, as well as bowls of candy, quartered donuts,  a coffee/hot chocolate machine, plush love seats and a large LED flatscreen.  i was usually asked if i had drank water, and usually i drank about 20 ozs. enroute to the clinic which is less than 10 minutes from my house.  if i forgot to drink water i would do so in the waiting room.

i always used the bathroom after my session. it's my understanding that the machine compensated daily for the position of my prostate.  also, the techs did not check if my bladder was full enough...i'm not even sure if it was possible to check.

Not SRT, but IMRT as a primary treatment:

When the tattooed me and did the mapping they filled my bladder via a catheter (surprise!). I was told to drink 32 oz in the hour before my treatment each morning. I was told this was to help ensure everything was in the same place for each treatment and I guess more or less in the position that was mapped. Minimizing damage to the bladder was not mentioned. The first thing done during each treatment was an ultra-sound to check if my bladder was full. I got told once or twice to leave and go drink more water.
