Good News at my Sixth Month Post RRP Doctors Appointment

Just received great news this afternoon that my cancer in non-detedctable. With my pathology, Gleason 9 on both sides, PCa in both margins, Seminal Vesicles, etc, etc, my first six week should have tested positive and subsequent PSA's the same. But I will take what I can get, cautiously celebrate, and let my healing to continue up the the date when I have detectable cancer and then HT and IMRT starts. I have felt a 1,000 pound weight of pressure on my chess for the last month and glad to have gotten good news.

I am in the 85% category for recurrence, and have escaped the reality up to this point, but I know it is just a matter of time , unless Provenge is doing what it is billed to do. I will keep my fingers crossed that it did make a difference.

thank you for all of your support since January of this year, when my journey began with this horrible cancer. As Jeff Corvette has said, get off my butt and get exercising and loose fifty pounds before I start HT that will put thirty plus on. Which is great advice,

who knows frm I have read here, no one knows where they will end up, so suck it up, good news is what it is, good news, celebrate. I have a mate 9 months past his use by date, at 46, and he is still full of optimism.

Congratulations. If your path report says you have an 85 percent chance of recurrence, that still means you have a 15 percent chance it won't recur. Here's hoping you find yourself among that 15 percent.

Yours is the kind of news we all need to hear more and 15% chance of no recurrence is not unrealistic either. I would rather have that 15% chance than no chance. Here is to your lifetime of zeros.

You gentlemen have always been so supportive and I thank each and everyone of you for your support. None of us know where the next few years will be on our journey and so we have to celebrate each day some how, so when the tables are turned we can remember the wonderful days before things got bad.

I will hope to be part of the 15% for non-recurrnce but I am a realist, use statistics everyday in life and know with a high confidence level it will just be a matter of time. Until then, there is a lot to accomplish on the bucket list. Next trip is to Las Vegas to meet with a MO and then the next trip will be to see the wonders of Yosemite. Next summer, Italy and Switzerland to see the Alps, good brats, great people, We all have to have the seize the day mentality.
