Met with my uro today for my 4 month psa and another Lupron injection.
Psa still non-detect !!!!!!

Doc is now offering Lupron in 6 month version, so I signed up. So I have one more Lupron shot to go and I'm done with HT.......at least for the forseeable future...<sigh>.
Last one will be in April,.....right before gfmph southern style.

A friend of mine was encouraging me about the psa numbers. I had to explain to him that if my psa were "detectable....even at low levels" while taking Lupron, I would have much more serious issues. He had never heard the term "refractory" before.

Anyway, so far, so good.

what great news to read, congratulations, least its doing its job right now.

there must be a sale on "zero's" today, quite a few reports coming into HW like yours. that's a nice
trend to see here for a change.

Congrats to you from both of us here in Idaho. Way to keep that PSA undetectable, of course credit given to the Lupron, but STILL !!! We love those big fat "Zeros".

I look forward to the time I can say that! Regarding the word Refractory.  I’ve worked in refinery’s for the past 30 years and didn’t know until a few months ago that there were two definitions of the word.

Thanks everyone. My wife always goes with me to these things. She is one of the most positive people I've ever known, but somewhere in the back of her mind, I think, she wants to be by my side.....just in case my psa begins to go up. She understands the implications if my psa starts rising while on HT. Anyway, she knew right away. Cajun jeff was second because he was the first healing well buddy I made, and we've shared a lot over the last year,....besides, he calls me right as the cute little nurse asked me to pull my britches down.
That don't happen often to me these days......<snicker>.....even though it was for a shot.

So,....as soon as I get home,.....I had to share my good/bad news with you guys. Y'all be special, dontcha know.

Good news = no psa
Bad news =anudder darn Lupron shot.

As much as I gripe about HT, I'm really glad that we have that tool in our toolbox.
