Well today marks my five year anniversary of losing the old walnut. It was a slightly bumpy ride at the beginning but things have smoothed out somewhat - still have stress incontinence and ED.

I may be one of those guys that was over treated but my take on the whole PSA controversy is this; until someone can definitively tell me that my untreated Gleason 6 would not have turned into a 7, 8, or 9 and that my positive margin would not have spread and metastasized, then and only then would I say perhaps PSA testing is of no benefit.

I can't say enough about what this site means to me.

Congrats on the Five Year anniversary ( I wonder when Hallmark will start putting out "survivor cards"... just a thought.)

Congrats, Ken. It's important that long-term survivors check in here and let everyone know that there is success in battling this disease. It's especially important for the newest members of our prestigious "club" who have so many questions and so few answers.

That's great to hear. HD is right; it's important that long term survivors check in and give us short-timers some perspective.
