LOL....whats next. Millions of americans having been eating eggs for breakfast for years and never got cancer. I've come to the conclusion that it doesnt matter how healthy you eat, how good a shape your in....the bottom line is you just might have it in you when born. All my doctors have said its in your genes...which makes sense to me because it does run in the family. (from father to son)

Ive got 5 sisters and all of them are inactive, somewhat overweight and dont eat healthy except one...She climbs mountains, runs, hikes and eats all health foods her whole life....guess which one got Breast cancer. another example is Lance Armstrong....He was about as healthy as one could be. I mean it seems every day I read a article about something else that can cause cancer...but no proof to back it up...no long term studies.

Dr Snuffy Meyers, in his book, recommends that eggs be eliminated as well as dairy, land animal meat ,and poultry fat.   As a researcher several years ago he was the one that linked a component of these fats with prostate cancer.

Obviously there is rarely one thing that influences the cell mutation that gets past the immune system defenses and starts the tumor.   It is usually a combination of several things over time.   I don't think that telling my newest grandson (15 days old today) that if he never ever ate an egg in his life that he would not get prostate cancer.   But I can tell him that moderation in most things is the key.   Of course some things like smoking should absolutely not be done.

Yes, the post repeated something mentioned in an earlier post. Yes, we should do better about that (Steve posted the link). But we don't always, so an "oh, yeah, thread (link) covered/discussed/beat the senses out of" is fine.

The old guys (myself included) know a lot of what is on the internet is rehash of something that should have vanished from the face of the earth years ago, but the new guys find it. Happens every few weeks - someone fires up google and posts ad-nauseum about the results. It doesn't really break any rules, and sometimes something new pops out. If we do like some other forums here and just outright ban links, the baby goes with the bathwater.

Yesterday I locked a thread for this same sort of bashing. I'm not going to take sides here, no one is completely in the right. I'm going to leave this one open (for now), but the ugliness needs to stop here.
