Time between psa tests

Geoff just reached his two year post surgery and his lastest psa test was still<.1  At his doctor's visit today the dr. said he should be re-tested in 6 months.  We had thought it was every 3 months the first year, every 6 months the 2nd year and now going into the 3rd thought it would be once a year.  We were looking forward to the once a year, as psa anxiety is no fun for me( Geoff never seems to worry!) Just wondering what everyone else's doctor recommends...I included his signature so that you can see his stats.

Ditto... BUT, at the next six months gathering - ask the Doc about going to 12 months.

every case is a bit different. My doc checked my PSA three months after radiation and it had drop so much he decided to wait for six months for the next test. He was willing to retest in three months but didn't think it was needed.

I am fine with that.

Another approach as well - if Geoff wants the tests at 6 months and has no problem with it, but you get the PSA anxiety, have Geoff do the 6 month test and not tell you when it will be. After it comes back undetectable he can tell you and you two can celebrate appropriately. No anxiety on your side, and good data to have. Another way to consider approaching it.
