Regarding gallstones. I had gallstones for about
30 years without symptoms. They were called "silent gallstones." After 10 years I was told that the probability of them becoming problematic was near zero.
Well, about 11 months ago, I had a major problem. I ended up with emergency surgery. My gallbladder had become gangenous/necrotic. Long story. I recovered very well from the surgery (uneventful, I like to say). The pain for me was not bad at all. I did have a severe problem in August for about 2 months. I suspect it was adhesions.
My suggestion would still be to do nothing about the gallstones. As I said, I had 30 years with no problems. From my research, most gallstones are silent and never cause any problems.
Now, you said you did have some minor symptoms. But if they are TRULY MINOR, my non-expert opinions is to do nothing. What does your doctor say?
