Biopsy completed 16 cores, constipated, some blood

I can hardly believe how wonderful the surgery center was, Nicer then the hospital. Very thorough. Shot in the rump, for antibiotic, pills for nausea. wheeled into center, pop on my left side. but hanging in the breeze. But the nurses were REAL pretty. Nurse said you will get a little sleepy soon, then she said your all finished. I HIGHLY recommend Collum and Carney. Doc said nothing unusual on sonogram, no nodules or interesting structures, no bumps. So in 2 - 3 weeks for results. If we don't call you, call us. blood in 18 hours starts in urine.

I have to say I google way too much, I read rather creative horror stories? I have seen only a few drops of blood. I was never so anxious for my cup of coffee. The 45 minute ride home was sore, I had to sit cock eyed. For home I popped a versed, although unnecessary, a tylenol would be good enuf.
But I'm afraid I love narcotics and the oportunity to pop one.

a general for a biopsy is all that is offered here, kinda the standard country boys want. But I also understand guys that just want an in and out, get drilled and go back to work!
I retired at 58 and am 70.5 now, I am getting my monies worth. I forgot what work was like till this morning getting up at 5am for the 6am procedure! and they said stay mobile. Like like folks to move around? I can do that. x san berdnardino boy, now arkansas hillbilly and I love the rural country

Berdoo, glad it all went well.  I was sleeping thru my 16 core biopsy as well and that DOES make it a breeze.

I hope you get great results.  BTW, there is no way this should take 2-3 weeks.  A few days, maybe but "weeks' is ridiculous.

yup, only one drop of blood, and no number #2 yet, That fleet did a job!!! next time I'll lift the seat and squat in there for the explosion!! no one prepared me for that?? all the things that are unsaid.
I guess 2 weeks is a long time, but maybe thats a max? maybe I'll hear in a few days. Its a local pathology group and there were 10 of us in there this morning, that was for one doc and there are 7 at the uro clinic. very busy place. I am still researching treatments, just to have a grasp of what is available, and it seems only one in Little rock arkansas. (robot) of course lots of regular surgery. I haven't looked at shrieveport yet? very big center there. and anderson in Houston. Cyberknife looks to be interesting. My fav for side effect track record is Brachy. Course I could be Negative, that would be a more pleasant surprise. But the docs usually say they just missed it and will redrill in 6 months! gasp.

By the number of biopsies they do there? which can't hardly be counted are we in a epedemic? and thats just guys with health care or that go to doctors and get DRE and PSA. what about everyone else? and that would be what at least 50% of the male over 60 population? If everyone had a dre and psa we would NOT have enuf uro's we would need a couple hundred for Texarkana.

Yeah, blood in the urine isn't to bad, it's the ejaculate that will shock you.
You can read and read about it, but until you see it happen, you can't imagine...lol

Berdoo, the pain meds are likely the cause of your constipation. The sooner you can get off them, the quicker your system will kick in. Take stool softeners for a while to help.

I did stop the pain meds, only took one really. Thank goodness not much pain, hard to believe really. I am using stool softener and metamucil to kick back in on the plumbing. I hope this brown pee stops in a few as days as possible. I can't stand waiting for pathology report, doc was really optimistic? that scares me too. it seems benighn or 3 + 3 is getting rare in this group? I read stats that say 1 out of 3 is positive. but if over 70 and psa 10, then it's a 50/50? well I can only wait and see. and I am involved in a heavy business transaction right now. what do other guys do? stop their life while they wait?
