Hello! My husband is about to start on Zytiga, too (the oncologist just called to tell him he was not accepted in the clinical trial for GTX-758 so we are moving on to Zytiga). Dr. Flaig did not mention anything about the Xgeva, which Marshall also takes. I guess we'll learn more about that later.
But your posts bring up another question: Marshall has been having SEVERE bone pain for the past month and our oncologist has done several sets of x-rays and scans and he does not believe the pain is totally cancer related. I had read that sometimes Xgeva causes bone pain and that if you switch to another bone strengthener like Zometa the bone pain stops.
I asked Dr. Flaig about that and he said that is possible, but that he feels Zometa is too toxic.
Do any of you have any opinions or experience with this?
