The somber news is my mom passed away last Sunday, May 5th. She was 71 and had battled breast cancer for almost 16 years; her body gave out (kidney and liver failure). I will certainly miss her.

The good news is I got a message yesterday from Dr. Smith's office at Vanderbilt that my blood test shows <0.10 PSA.

The first thing that came to mind was pick up the phone, call and let my mom know sad

Oh Wally, so sorry to hear about you mom. My Dad has been gone a long time and I still have those moments when I think "I need to call dad to tell him this." Yep you pulled at my heart strings. May she rest in peace.

Sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I loss my mom to cancer 4 years ago this month.

My condolences in the passing of your mother.

My congratulations on the "undetectable" PSA test.

I also had my RALP done by Dr. Smith at Vanderbilt on 4/7/2010.

Thus far PSA still "undetectable".

Here is hoping for many years of "undectectable" for all of us.

Wally, we share a common date as my dad would have been 97 on cinque de Mayo. He passed way back in 1993.

Congrats though on first of many virtually undetectable PSA's.

Condolences on your mom, and congrats on the PSA score.

When I got my PCa diagnosis (and every milestone since then), I've wished I could call my dad and share the news. Sadly, he passed 13 years ago as a young man.

Condolences about your mom and congrats for the good news.  My mom passed a few weeks ago so I feel your pain.  She was a breast cancer from more than 40 years ago but Alzheimer's got her in her late 70's
