Mrs WW , What an awful thing to have happened, I posted reply yesterday, but it got balled up. I pray that the blackout was inceptually benign and your love recovers quickly painlessly and fully. Logo

Mr and Mrs WW - my thoughts and prayers are with you both - please don't let this be a deterrent to the path he got back on..... stay positive, feel the energy from all of the brothers and sisters here. Here's hoping the blackout was nothing major and for a quick recovery.

Hope they work out what caused the balckout. I take it that the uro and the anaesthetist know, botha bout the blackout and the jaw, was there any suggestion that surgery should be postponed.
My blood pressure dropped a lot during and after surgery and they had to put me on a drip and oxygem to get it back up aagin, and I felt very dizzy and faint for about 12 hours after that, but then it went away.

Anyway I definitely wish you both all the best.

Wow Ms. WW! I have been away for a few days, so I missed this. My best friend did the same exact thing on his 18th birthday. Smoke was blowing at him and he was holding his breath, and passed out and fell into the fire. The guy on Survivor a few years ago did the same thing. Prayers are coming your way from Colorado

Oh man! How awful! On the bright side - and you know that I try really hard to always find a bright side - with that wired shut jaw he will probably lose those extra 10 pounds he's been carrying around his mid-section. This is an extreme way to do it is but, hey, it gets the job done.

I'll worry for you on M, W, and F. You can relax on those days. Deal?

Thanks so much, every one.

His surgery was postponed until 3:00. Surgery went fine and he is still
in recovery.

I haven't been able to see him yet, but surgeon and plastic surgeon said all went well. He has three metal plates in mandible and is wired shut for at least a month.

Need to figure out how to get those four huge Zytiga pills through a straw. Medical oncologist will advice on solutions if crushing them causes a problem.

Now to figure out what caused the blackout is on top of the list. Hopefully not due to Zytiga. Blood levels still have many highs and lows, but nothing obvious to cause the blackout.

Thanks again for all of the thoughts, prayers, and text messages. You guys and gals ROCK!

So sorry to have displayed some terrible Italian Tuscan dishes on Facebook when I knew that you were facing the annoying vending machines today (Burp). But I promise to not talk about those crappy Trio Creme Brûlée deserts.

Thoughts and prayers for you both.  Take care of yourself during this time, too.  Could the zytiga be dissolved in juice or something?  Maybe a milk shake?

MsWorryWart...glad to know that the surgery went well...mandible shut for a month....not good for the "eating" but he won't be able to yell :).....
Bowing my head a moment for you and hubby.....
Zitiga might could be compounded...check with oncologist and a specialty pharmacy......I may be wrong, just a suggestion....
Blackout could be a multiple of issues, some not so bad, as just an episode.
Take care...we are keeping our "eyes and ears" peeled to know the latest...

Just saw all this today about your husband's ordeal. Very sorry for him and for you, but sounds like surgery was successful.

Thinking about you both. We all hope for brighter days, and they are sure to come.
