Guards vs Shields

Greetings all,

I'm about 12 weeks out and down to about 1 guard per day, whoo hoo. I bought some shields last weekend and I really think they would hold my drips and dribbles ok. I used one while diving and it worked great, but when I'm up and moving around I found they are too small (squares inches) to keep big Jake contained within the shield area so the drips and dribbles ended up in my pants. I'm not bragging; those shields are small. I wore one with a jock strap and it kept thing in place better but it's not that comfortable. Does anyone make a larger shield?

Drum, at 12 weeks, you may be ready to graduate soon anyhow and make this all moot. After initial surgery in 2011, I used half a bag of pads and was done--at the time, anyhow.

Hawk is right about the Depends for Men guards. Worked well for me. Walmart used to carry the ones that were white but now have the gray ones. The feel was different...too bulky.

However, our local HEB grocery here in Texas has their own private label brand that is every bit as good if not better. No idea who manufactures it but I just mention so you don't overlook possibly going with a store brand and saving a few bucks.

(I am two years out from daVinci and a year out from SRT. One pad a day just to be safe although there are days when I reload in the afternoon.)

I will confess to pilfering a pad or two from an airplane lavatory just to have an extra while on a flight.

Try the Tena men's guards. They are lighter capacity.
