Finished

Well gang, yesterday I finished my 35 treatments of groin blasting with little to no side effects. So far so good.
In a month I go back for a PSA test and to see just how good of a shot my therapist are.
I am also going to go back tomorrow to get a group picture with my "girls." once I have said photo, and I acquired the skills to post said picture, I will do so.

Way to go. i finished up my IGRT/IMRT seven weeks ago and really starting to feel great. Take the time to sleep and nap since your body has much healing to do. The cancer clinic I go to has a wellness center and they are big on stretching everything from the abs down to the knees to open up everything, let the blood flow. It seems to work. At first, it stirred up the burn sensation but feels great now. That is a big milestone you just completed.

You will see your energy increase week by week. Go out an celebrate a huge milestone.

Congratulations. I finished 3 months ago and feel great, no side effects. And my 3 month Psa dropped from 0.22 to 0.04. Hope you do as well.

Thanks for also posting your positive comments! For those of us undergoing, or considering undergoing, IGRT it's good to hear from people recovering well afterward. The process itself really is an endurance contest. I have #15 of 44 today.

wishing you the BEST, man ! one thing to keep in mind, that nobody has mentioned: it takes a few months for the radiation to accomplish its task, so don't be discouraged if the one month PSA is not down to zero. it took me from June to March to end up with an undetectable.

Congrats, DS.  I truly hope that your SRT is successful.  I've been watching for your postings regularly and am very glad to hear you had minimal side effects.

My PSA actually dropped last month (to .06 from .07) so I'm holding off on SRT for a couple more months to see what my PSA does.  But like you, I've come to terms with my own situation and accept that I will need SRT at some point.

I hope you can make the Dec cruise.  It will be great to shake the hands of a fellow warrior.
