Haven't written here in quite a while. Just wanted to say that I am still a "zero" 5 years after surgery (May 5th was my anniversary. That's right, Cinqo de Mayo will never be the same.)
Life is good. Still slaving away for a Govt contractor, and coaching girl's rec league soccer.
My best to you all,

It's always especially nice to see someone get to a five year membership in the Zero Club, because it's proof that it can be done, and serves as a beacon of hope for many here.
Thanks for posting this, and congratulations!

Great news. I tried emailing you about
a month ago and had deleted your email address to catch up with you. I hope you are still coaching soccer.

That is just awesome news, CONGRATS, and here's to the next 5 years, and the next 5 years after that, and the next 5 years after that, and the next 5 years after that, and, well, pretty sure you get my sentiments!

Wow, thanks for all the kind words. I had an excellent surgeon, and I was VERY lucky in the timing (or somebody was watching over me). Another few weeks or months and it likely would have spread. * * Just FYI - I am not superman, did not jump on my motorcycle the day after surgery and ride for hours (like some, apparently). I still use one light pad a day, and periodically I get a painful cramping attack - feels like somebody kicked me right in the anus. But that only lasts 10 minutes or so - and only once every few months. Can't trace it to anything, but the Dr DID have to apparently shave my prostate off of my rectal wall (we are all built a little differently) and I felt painfully bruised for about
6 weeks after surgery. BUT - life is GOOD! Everything works mechanically, a little viagra helps in the bedroom department, and I REALLY cannot complain. * * I wish you guys all the best, stay positive, live on!
