scope of penis after surgery

Let start by saying that I should have shown a subject text on my previous post but have no idea how to amend that. So I will post again , six weeks out of surgery and still have pain and a feeling of pressure In the penis. The only time I feel good is before I get out of bed. The urologist does not believe itbis cancer based on my psa levels but is not sure why I am going through this, has anyone had similiar issues.

Sorry to hear this is still going on this far out. Could it be an infection? Or some type of stricture? Are you having any problem urinating, i.e., retention? Or just physical pain at the tip it self? A scoping should clear up any possibility of any blockage issue. Sometimes, just having the scope inserted all the way will clear up minor issues.

Good luck in resolving this.

I am dry during the night and get up once with a good stream though I find it aches after. During the day i seem to pee in my pad all fay and with the toilet it is like a shower head effect or weak stream , by the way what is stricter

What you describe doesn't sound that unusual. At six weeks out lots of guys leak when they stand up for a long time (but not so much at night laying down.) It is also not unusual to feel a bit achy or uncomfortable. That is something to talk to your doctor about. He can probably give you something to make you hurt less.

A "stricture" is a narrow place in your urethra that gives you a small hole to pee through. They occur sometimes after surgery from swelling or scar tissue. Your doctor can stretch it back open if you have one. It's not any fun but not a big deal either.

You may find your doctor a little bit reluctant to do anything with his scope this soon after surgery as long as you can pee OK. Surgeons like to let things heal if at all possible before they start poking instruments into the area to see what is going on after surgery.

I had difficulting peein in the first weeks after surgery and pain. The difficulty went away after the healing process took hold 5 -6weeks. I had penile pain, pressure, dull aching for 8 mos post op. Surgeon explained it as the pain from the surgery that has to go somewhere. radical prostectemy is one of the most complicated surgery out there and involves a long recovery 8mos to a year. Getting out of the hospital in 36 hours is just the tip of the ice berg, Jeeves………….!!

After surgery and/or ADT you may need a scope to find you penis.....just sayin.

Just got back from the scope and was told that everything looked normal, so back we go to it just taking time to heal.

Thats good news. Are you doing any walking as you recover. Rhetorical question. How come new comers hardly ever keep a signature?

Pww099, that is good news. The healing will take time. 6 weeks is not long at all.

logoslidat, I would venture to guess newcomers are not that savvy on just how to complete their signature in their profile. I kinow we have a thread on here about how do complete your profile and signature. Maybe it is not as prominent as it needs to be.

New guy here out of Florida, I see I have a lot of reading to do but already had a laugh at some of the wit. Truthful I'm sure from experience so far but funny. I am a post-op from a radical 3 weeks now.

It wasn't a scold 099, honest. I do see people that have the signature initially and then its gone and I wonder why? My use of the term rhetorical did not distance yourself enough from blame as I had intended.

After my surgery my wife accused my URO of selling my penis to some one on Ebay, it was a mere shadow of it's formal self. smhair   With the ED that resulted size doesn't really matter any more anyway. mad

099 I think your URO is right what you are experiencing  is all part of the healing process.
