My journey, continued

Well here is the good and the bad since starting this in July of 2012. Psa started to climb around a year after starting ADT. Went thru Provenge this summer and after that went on Xtandi  which I am still on. My testosterone has climbed since going on firmagon to a high of 41. Onc switched me to Lupron yesterday to see if we can get it back to under 10.Hope that works cause I don't really want to lose the boys, whats left of them. My Psa has not been put in check yet maybe do to testosterone level or bone mets and is at 17. Now the good new's, my CT scan just done shows one suspicious node which is better than last one done in Dec. No spread  to any organs, is Provenge working? Bone scan is a mixed bag but not that bad. It looks much the same as the Dec. scan with mets in same locations with a couple that have grown. One is in my shoulder that gives me some discomfort so I'm meeting with a radiation onc. to discuss zapping it. I'm still working although it's tough at times just due to fatigue and pain in my hip which is mostly from arthritis, I was going to have a hip replacement before the Pca dx.

Keep fighting pepsiguy, sounds like you have a handle on it.

I have a lot of issues with arthritis also. It doesn't help when
you are trying to deal with PSA numbers and your hip hurts also.

Thanks, too, for your update. Your personal PC fight continues onward. Definitely a mixed bag with no easy answer, not uncommon in your particular situation.

quick answer --- no, I had no issues with the spot radiation...
