Clinical Trial: Galeterone

I've been absent from the board for awhile; Dad had an appointment today and the doctor is recommending a clinical trial of Galeterone. Apparently, it's a Phase II trial and the drug acts like a combination of Zytiga + Xtandi. The best of both worlds. Anyone have experience with this trial or drug?

I'm gonna comb through the posts as well...if not, any anyone is interested I can keep you updated on how it goes...

I guess I should add to the signature --- he has been on Zytiga for the last year... PSA has risen to over 10.

Here's what I've seen on the Phase 1 trial.

The Phase 1 Galeterone study said...
Overall 11/49 pts (22%) demonstrated >50% PSA decline and an additional 13/49 (26%) had 30-50% declines. Partial response by RECIST was seen in 2 pts. Consistent with lyase inhibition, increased corticosteroids and suppressed androgens were seen with dose escalation.

Phase I clinical trial of galeterone (TOK-001), a multifunctional antiandrogen and CYP17 inhibitor in castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC).

And they found it to be well tolerated.
